My journey to conquer acne didn't start in a sterile lab or clinical setting—it began right where you are right now: in the overwhelming battle against my own stubborn breakouts. For years, I tried everything—high-end products, extreme diets, countless doctor's visits—but nothing helped. I felt defeated and was completely self-conscious about how I looked.

In 2006, I started Elements Skin Care & Acne Clinic in Anchorage, Alaska. Word of our success quickly reached others across the US, prompting me to figure out how to treat acne virtually, and still get great results for my clients. Yes! Based on your skin photos and answers in The Acne Interview, I will choose a customized skin care plan for you. You will get 12 week’s worth of skin care products, including the upgrade products necessary for all of your skin adjustments. You will also receive an acne-safe shampoo and conditioner to use on the program.

Unfortunately, there’s nothing that makes acne go away forever - this only happens when when your acne gene turns off. But what this program will do is teach you how to fully manage your acne-prone skin for the long term so that you won’t have breakouts anymore.

Most likely, the other things you’ve tried were either based on incorrect information, products weren’t being used correctly, or your acne’s root cause wasn’t sufficiently eliminated. Those are the 3 reasons most acne approaches don’t work.

No, you won’t. You will have to modify a few simple things (mostly “cut back” on), but there are alternatives to most things. My main goal is to make the lifestyle portion of the program as normal as possible, so you can easily maintain your results.

Yes, it will. Unless you have Polycystic Ovary syndrome or are on the wrong birth control (which we will find out) your acne is most likely not hormonal. This is a very common misconception. And even if it is truly hormonal, my program will still clear your skin amazingly (see these examples: Booboo, Hannah, Quayana, Fidelia). We cover hormonal acne in-depth in the program.

Yes, you will need to continue using acne-safe products as long as you have acne. There’s no way around this. In the program, you’ll learn how most of what’s causing your acne is skin care products, and how important it is to use the right ones! We cover this topic in depth. If you continue to use the products from this program, we offer free auto-shipping and bundle discounts. Once your skin is clear, you can choose to scale way back to just the very basic products needed to keep your skin clear.

Minimally, if at all. My products were designed to be extremely hydrating to mitigate this common issue. Also, I have you use your strong treatment products in increments, with regular increases, so your skin has the chance to adapt and not dry out.

Absolutely, and I encourage you to so you can feel as good about your skin as possible while it’s clearing. I recommend only acne-safe makeup, as anything else will clog pores and delay your progress.

You don’t. I’ve had incredible success treating acne long-distance for over 10 years. You’ll be getting products that ultimately remove impactions in your pores the same way extractions do. And, you’ll be able to keep your pores clear so that future extractions aren’t necessary.

Accutane: need to wait 6 months. Retin-A: need to stop 2 weeks prior to starting your new products. Antibiotics: you can take these while on the program, but they aren’t necessary for clear skin and most people choose to stop taking them. I always advise consulting with your Dr when stopping any medication.
